Discuss plans, storylines, and events; Recruit for your roleplaying game, or find a GM for your playergroup.Almost all people in Bretonnia worship a Goddess known only as the Lady of the Lake. She is said to be the very soul of the land and her opinion out weighs that of a king. She has many 'mortal' (I use the term lightly) followers that help her achieve her goals. The Fay Enchantress, a powerful mage and said to be the voice of the Lady, herself, so her influence arguably outweighs even the kings. Her Damsels, the women trained by the Fey Enchantress to become magical themselves. The Lady of the Lake gets her servants by stealing all children with magical ability by the age of three. The girls become wizards in service to the Lady, her damsels. The males are never seen again. For reasons of religious devotion parents allow this awful custom.
Her more martial champions are the Grail Knights, the most veteran and experienced knights in the kingdom. Handpicked by the Lady of the Lake by process of searching for the fabled Grail (Check Populace in character section for more info on them), and her greatest champion, the Green Knight. An ethereal knight that is said to be immortal, a living extension of the Lady of the Lake's power. He arrives only in the most dire of times to aid the Bretonnians (Don't count on it if your in a pinch though. He may or may not appear. More likely not.), he protects the forest and holy places of the Lady, and it is he who all Questing knights must face in combat before sipping from the Grail.
